WD-45 carb problem?

Working on a WD-45 gas with the Marvel-Schebler carburetor. It would drip gas when shut off, I figured float needle valve. Then it got to where it would only run with the choke on, so I cleaned up the carb and put a rebuild kit in it. The fuel drip is gone, but it will still only run with the choke on. Please tell me it's something easy and/or obvious, 'cause I'm running out of hair to pull out. Thanks in advance for your advice.

sounds as if the power jet circut it pluged.
this is common on the marvel-shebler carbs
especialy when it sites a lot, the best remedy
is to completly disassemble the carb and let it
sit in a good acid dip for a day or two,
then rinse with water and use a set of torch tip
cleaners to chase the ports,i have found in
my experience this to be the best way to clean a
carb. use only acids recommended for carb cleaning. Zep manufacturing makes some very
good carb acid dip.

take the fuel line off of the carb and turn the gas on and see if it runs out o.k. sounds like it might be clogged up. That happens all the time with old tractors.

Check for a vacume leak, manifold to head is most likely, also maybe a rusted through manifold?
