Snap coupler blade

Anybody out there know about when they quit making snap coupler blades. I have two of them, and I was just wondering how old they were. One is made by Servis Company, Dallas Texas. Model LS. The other one I am not sure of. Too many coats of paint to read the tag. Every one says they are real hard to find. I dont know how I wound up with two of them. I was just wondering.Thanks in advance.

Hi Nick, They are 6 feet wide. They both work on my WD45. It has the original 2 point hitch. A snap coupler bell under the belly and the two lift arms. I guess they would work on others Allis tractors too.

You don't really have "AC" snap coupler blades. The real deal were made by Athens Plow Co. which became a subsidiary of AC. The real Allis blades had a side tilting adjusting screw as well as two moldboard tilting adjusting screws in the rear. They had angle adjustments for a forward angle and one straight adjustment for pushing rearward.

I have one of the "real deals" and the manual that goes along with it. Although the manual is A-C and shows a picture on the cover of a D-15 with the blade attached, the title reads "Operator's Manual and Parts List - 6 Foot Blade (Oxnard)" I always assumed the blade was built by a company called Oxnard.

My mistake: Athens was another company bought by Allis. Oxnard was indeed the blade maker and it, too was eventually bought out by Allis, too, and became known as the Oxnard Works.
