I was told that there was a year that allis chalmers either produced or offered the option of having a V-8 installed as the motor on the tractor.
I was wondering if this is true.If it is what year was it produced and whatwas the tractor labeled as? Also what size was the motor and also what style of block?

Yes, Allis Chalmers did have a tractor with a V-8 engine. It was the 440 4WD made by Steiger for Allis Chalmers. It had a 555 cubic inch Cummins engine. It was made from 1972-1975

I don't believe AC ever used a V8 engine. However, when I was at Gathering of the Orange at Flywheeler Park in Florida last winter, I saw a B powered by a Chevy 283. And I saw an unstyled WC rear joined to a JD B front and powered by a 2 cylinder upright engine like JD used in their M-MT-40-420.
