Got to work on my '37 WC which has 24" spoke wheel rims on it. Looks like the rim was black but the hubs & spokes were orange! With this one exception, it looks like everything but the muffler was orange. The generator was replaced & it looks like it was bare metal from a rebuilder but I assume it was orange too. What was the REAL paint scheme for this tractor when he rolled outta the factory some 64 years ago? Would like to minimize citations from correct police!

Orange it is,but I like to show detail,so I would paint some parts black i.e. gen. to h--- with the police.Show it off,perfection isnt everything. Dave

The fact that you have a 65 year old running tractor is far more important than what color the generator is. It sounds like you are close on the colors. They are easy to change, it is the fact the tractor is mechanically good that is important to me. Screw the police!!

Al, The penalty for incorrect wheel color is pretty small, usually less than a year in the correct police doghouse. The police argue amongst themselves on what is correct wheel color for certain years. Just don't get caught with a WC decal on the radiator or you will get sent up for life. LOL! We just got our '38 all painted up and we are going to take it to the Allis feature show in Celina week after next. It's all orange. Let me know if you want a list of citations so ya can get yours approved on the first try.

Orange it is! I wanted to get at least the inside of the rims painted before I put new sneakers on him. Will be taking him to West Liberty this weekend as a work in progress. They're featurning Allis & Minnie both. Would like to know what's 'sposed to be where. Are decals available from Agco Allis or do we get those from Dangerous Dave's decals?

The best decals are from Lyle Wacker. Have the serial number handy when you call so he can ship the correct ones for your tractor. The WC set is $35. Phone 402-582-4874 (Nebraska)
