how can i idenify that i have a wd45? i think it has power stearing it has a distributer insted of a mag i broke the dist drive gear and need to find out what modle i am working on so that i can buy parts

If it is a 45 it will gave a cast iron side of the engine on the right, if it is a WD there will be a plate bolted on covering the whole right side of the engine block. The tractor serial no. is on the back of the rear end hosing, on the machined area, behind the left brade. 45s started with 45, WDs with WD. If it has power steering it is most likely a 45.
