Hello' I am rebuilding a allis model B , I have a magneto and also a distributor. Can anyone tell me the best system, and why Thanks

I second what Dick said. The charging system on my B is in need of repair but that has not stopped me from using it this summer. If it were a dist. system, I'd be down for repairs, as it is, I can wait until this winter to repair it.

Nothing to do with which is best, but you can run a tractor a long time on a battery. You just charge it once in a while when it doesn't start the tractor too well.

I like the magneto's best, because I can use the tractors without a battery. As far as the running of the engine they both work fine.
