I have a model C that has me a bit puzzled. The tractor number shows this tractor was one of the very first model C's made. However, the engine numbers indicate a much later model (not to mention it has distributor/coil set up). My assumption is one of two things happened. The transmission was replaced or the engine was replaced. Is there any other way to determine what time frame this tractor was built? Are there any other casting numbers that would give a hint to it's year?

As far as i know the only date coded numbers are stmped on the engine and the transmission case. I dont remomber anything on the differential or radiator that would help distinguish a year.
