I have a Woods mower under my B AC that is 44" wide and has blades like a bush hog.It seems to turn too slowly, and I can't find a smaller pulley to speed it up.Any suggestions?

Mine also runs off the belt pulley. I find I can't mow in 2nd as the mower skips, but it does great work in 1st. I've go a PTO pulley drive on the sickle bar and it's pulley is much larger.

Hey Mike,
The BIGGER the pulley on the tractor, the faster the mower goes. The pulley RPMs stay the same and the bigger pulley moves more belt with each round than a smaller pulley!

Is it possible to put a bigger pully on the B, or does the little B already have it's pully too close to the rear end of the tractor?? I'm just courious, because I have been looking at a B and thinking about getting it and setting it up the same way.

on my rig it would be hard to put a bigger pulley on the pto because the belt would not line up with the two pulleys which turns it to the front.I thought it would be best to use a smaller pulley on the mower itself but I can't find one.

Mike,
On mine the drive pulley is on the belt pulley shaft which runs at a higher RPM than the PTO.
