I've searched the web & can't find the value of this. Am settling brother's estate & will have to sell his tractor.

Diann, the ED-40 was not a popular tractor, the
result having a plus and minus. The plus is it's
rare and therefore somewhat collectible. On the
minus side as Jim stated the Standard brand diesel
motor is tough to get parts for even in England
where the ED-40 was made and being a rare tractor
all parts are a little hard to get. I saw one in excellent shape sell for $2150 in New England. As
a guess I would think you would look in the range
of $2-3000 if in good condition. Sorry for your
loss and good luck with the sale.

Ive seen ED40's sell in pore running condition for $500 & in excelent condition for $2500 seen ads for $3500 they are hard to get parts for & engine parts are verry expensive

Could this ED-40 be a WD-45? Just trying to be helpful. Excuse me if it is a Model I have never heard of.

Chris, there was an E-40 and other E models, much before the WD or even WC series. They were built in the 20's amd 30's. Dont know about you, but im way to young to know much about them.

Gosh its nice to plead being too young to remember something for a change! I used to think being born in 1958 was being one of the young guys. Now I work with guys that were born in the 1980's! I have clothes older than them! Thanks for the info on another model A-C I will have to check out. A old young guy,Chris
