It does no good to push in the clutch. I cannot get it into gear with the engine running. Someone mentioned that the clutch plate is 'jammed' or frozen. I am accepting ideas but realize I will probably have to split the tractor in order to get at the parts. I assumed the person that I had install the clutch knew what he was doing. That person is no longer available to me so I am taking ideas. However, I must mention that it has been several years since the installation of the clutch and getting the tractor back to running. I can split the tractor but have no hoist available to hold the engine up, any help there would also be appreciated.

This can happen in as little as a few weeks the guy might have done the job just fine.I had this happen on a case what I did was start the tractor in gear, push in the clutch, and stood on the brakes and it popped loose in a few feet. Hope this helps T.J.

Your clutch disc might be in backwards.
