I am ready to put 3pt hitch on my wd but first i would like to know if the lift arms cylinders will handle a 1000-1200 pound round bale? also witch 3pt hitch kit is the best or witch is the best price. I have seen worksaver,saginaw,c and d hitches is there others i should look into?thanks for any help

I make a bale fork the the snap-coupler hitch. The tractor handle 1000 lb pretty good with 300 lb. counter weight on the front of the tractor.

the tractor should have the hydraulic power. how about adding 200-300 pounds of counterweight up by the front tires, or on the side rails forward of the engine???

I have a WD-45, and have a homemade 3-pt, but as far as lifting the bales, My WD-45 can handle the Smaller bales, (800-1000lb) bales really nicely. I tried the larger bales, but the front end would lift, and had to steer the tractor with the brakes.

As a kid I used to operate a 45 with a big bog harrow on the back, when lifting the harrow and driving away it was very easy to do a very long wheelie. and you had to be carefull steering. I think the harrow weighed in the 1000 to 1200 range.
