If I am reading the numbers right I have a 1948 Allis. How do I tell what model it is ?
The Number on the right hand side of the engine is AM 291621, the number on the left side is 99, the tractor number is 0671. Thanks for the help

If you have a small tractor, say 25 horsepower like the "B" or "C", the serial number is by the transmission shift lever and it will have a C or B starting the number. Also the small tractors have no frame. The engine transmission, torque tube form the backbone of the tractor. The bigger tractors about 40-45 horsepower have the serial numbers around the rear axlw housing by the brake drums. They start with "WC" or "W" or mabe "WD". This type tractor has a "c-channel" frame down both sides about 6 inches tall. The newer type tractors are the "D" series, but they were built in the 1960 era. The serial numbers are on the bell housing next to the engine flywheel. Which one do you think you have??
