Is there any way to adjust the clutch on this tractor? when it is under a heavy load it seems to slip, or is it safe to say that the clutch is shot? any help would be appreciated Thanks Nick

I was thinking the main clutch, but would the hand clutch cause the tractor to stop even if I didn't touch it? Here is what it is doing, I hooked up mt tractor to my brothers out in the field, we were pulling, and I was digging in pretty good, then I would here a small clunk coming from underneath me, and then my tires quit turning. I had him let off the tension, and pushed my clutch in and let it back out, and then the tractor would move again. What do you think Dick? Nick

I would think that it was the hand clutch. That is what my CA does in hard plowing. I was going to put a left side pinion shaft in and ditch the hand clutch, but a fellow bought it Monday.

Thanks Dick Will that left side shaft fit right in without any altering? Or would it be worth the time and money to replace the hand clutch?, at this point all I use this tractor for is entertainment. I will have it up at Auburn, perhaps you could take a look at it, unfortunately I wont be pulling it. See You Saturday Nick

If you don't want to buy the shaft you can just bolt the clutch togather.

When your brother puts in new brake linings you can look things over while the cover is off and get an idea what type of job it is. You get cover,fender, and rails off, you have four bolts holding the final drive to the transmission.
You would have to take the wheel off at the hub. The final drive will slide off after you have a jack or blocks under the transmission and an engine hoist to lift the final drive.
