Need data on AC models WC and B

I'm helping my neighbor get his 1940 WC and 1946 B
back in usable condition. He's owned both of them
for over 50 years. The WC is pretty well back
together, except for the manifold, which is rusted
out, welded over, and not enough left to weld
together. Is the WC engine the same as the WD and
will the manifolds interchange? I can get WD
manifolds, but haven't been able to find a WC
type. On the B, he has big problems, but we can
get a model "B" power unit. I think we can just
swap out the engines, but has anybody here done
this and had problems? Also, what were the main
differences between the WC and WD models, like
sheet metal, etc. I know about the ignition and
hydraulics changes. Thanks in advance!

The engines are interchangable but certain parts on the engine are not. If it is a styled WC, the manifolds will switch otherwise the exhaust comes out the side!

The WC and WD enginges are the same. The manifolds will interchange with no problem. You may have to adjust the rod going from the gov. to the carb. WD,WC,Wd-45 manifolds interchange.
On the B , there should be no problems on the motor swap. The power units were the same.

eliminates any qualms about doing these two
projects. It will be good to see these two
tractors out working again! Rusty
