I need HELP!
I was driving my 1951 AC and it just died. It is if I turned it off. It was running fine before, started right up ran good.
It has no switches, just magneto.
Does anyone have a clue as to what happened? It will turn over but will not start.

Did u check for spark? If it starts up again after cooling down my bet is the mag coil!
We can fix u up with a new one. Bill

I agree with Bill.

In every case I have seen where a spark ignition engine suddenly stopped running (except those vehicles w/ electronic ignition systems), it was due to one of three things: out of gas, burned ignition breaker points, or weak ignition coil (usually shows up after engine has run for short time & coil has heated up).

We only trade in the FM 4 cyl mags for our AC tractors. As suggested by Tom, contact Mark- we
regard him highly. Bill at S>L>I

If you need a mag and can't find one try Marks Magneto Service. 395 South Burnham Hwy. Lisbon CT 06351. 860-887-1094. Many mags are $150 exchange, if he can't fix yours. Mark has done well for those of us in this area, and he does deal nationwide.

Mine did that last year going down the track at a pull. Fixed that problem with gallon of gas. It didn't do much for the red face.
You might take the gas line off at the carb to see if you have a good flow. If you do take a spark plug wire off and see if you can get a spark from the wire to the plug. Those two checks will let you know what direction you need to go to find your problem.
