C governor spring

I just bought a '41 C with the engine rebuilt. There is a spring from the governor rod which runs down behind the carburator. It has become detached. Can anyone tell me where it is supposed to hook?

The spring goes as vertical as possible to a manifold stud. Bill

Darrell, I think there should be a hole in the linkage arm that hooks to the throttle shaft. Probably needs a cotter pin stuck in and bent lenght ways with the linkage to hook to.(Didn't say that good. The hole is in the shaft just ahead of the carb.) None of mine have had this spring so I'm not sure. Hope that helps.
