I have been offered for purchase a pair of weights for Allis B but they dont look right.
Instead of being a left hand and right hand pair they appear to be either two RH or two LH such that when mounted on the engine one side weight will have a large chamfer on the top and the other would have the chamfer on the bottom or vice versa.

Also the weights have only one bolt hole at the rear end whereas the bell housing on the engine has two holes. The dimensions look ok.

Can anyone please help me to confirm or otherwise that these are genuine weights for an Allis B

There isn't a left or right hand they both are the same. They are supposed to have only 1 hole,
the 2nd hole is for the mower, cult etc.

Gary, thank you for your help .
I have one more question, what roughly is the shape of the weights?
If i put the weights on the tractor then one weightt will have a large chamfer or sloping edge on the top surface whilst the other weight will have a completely flat surface with the sloping face on the underside. is that correct?

Trevor, Sounds like you have the correct weights, the sloped surface you discribe will be on the underside of the left side weight. It gives clearance for the steering link.

Sounds right I think the surface that looks like a cut out is for the air cleaner,I'll look at one of my B's to be sure, I've been useing the front
weights lately when I pull it and haven't had the
side weights on that one.
