MY CA started missing out and dying. Put new points and plugs in. It starts & runs for about two or three seconds then dies like if you shut off the ignition key. It has the original 6 volt system with a generator. I have checked all the wiring and I cannot figure out the problem.

Dave, Have you checked the fuel flow? If you havn't, try taking the plug out of the bottom of the carb and see if you have continued flow. If not, take sediment bowl off and check for fuel flow there. If there is plenty of fuel you may have ignition problems. To check that, take a clean plug and put it on a plug wire when it shuts down. Then crank it over and see if you have spark. (You have to ground the plug) Let us know what happens. Someone will help from there. Duey
