HD 21 Engine Questions

Hi, although I've been in the YT Fordson forum for a while I'm new to the A/C group. I agreed to work on a fellow's HD 21 recently. My (first) job will be get it running. What I'm told is it was working and losing power then quit. They had been unable to restart it but thought they could hear a top end noise that was not normal as it cranked. It's now been sitting about 2 years. Neither the coolant has dropped or the oil risen. I'll do an investigation in a couple of days. If I see nothing amiss beneath the valve covers as it turns I'll bleed the fuel and try a startup. Have you any pointers? Are injection pump failures likely? Or anything else that I should be cautious/aware of?
