Tractor pulling with a B

I also took first with my C Allis in the 3000 # class and had the longest pull by over 10 feet.
I have a set of 11.5 X 24 Armstrong. I also pulled in first gear.

I don't have one on my list for this coming weekend. I called around some today and didn't find any thing. The next one on my list close to me would be New Haven, IN July 4th and the Van Wert, Ohio july 6th and 7th.
Should be some in the edge of Michigan but I have not found any one with dates.

The other can be done. You will have .020 clearance between the block and crank with a 4" stroke. You will have to grind and reshape the cast in web supports inside the block. You can have the block bored out to take the larger sleeves. Three problems I can think of at the moment, the first one money, the second is the D series pistons are crater type and the B pistons are flat, the third problem is sealing the sleeves. The orings at the bottom of the sleeves in the B are on the out side of the sleeve and the orings in the D series are in the block. That can be overcome but can you spell MORE MONEY

I don't see how a wide tall tire will get that much more traction at that light of a weight class, might work, I just can't see how it would work. I could see it if you could spin the tires at 30 MPH or so.

The 38's do make that much more traction (about 10 or more feet) but I'm not sure that its the traction but the ground speed. what do you think a d10 or12 crank with 3 7/16 pistons I know that I would have to do something to the pistons for the extra stroke or would it not be worth the trouble.

I have pull here this weekend if I do ok in antique I may try 2nd gear to see what I have under the hood.

When You get it all done I would like to challenge you to a pull with my little old C with the 11.2 X 24's. I won't need all that extra power to turn my tires. This would be a for fun challenge where winners and loosers go home as new freinds.
