I was wondering if anybody could give me fair value for one of these. I have a friend with one. Rugged little tractor with good fuel economy. I've been impressed with it when I've used it. Saw one in paper recently. They want to sell it as pkg deal with bushhog and blade for $3800. Suppose to be in good condition although they said they were selling it for their son and didnt know alot about it.

I saw one on internet in another part of country for $2500 listed as in good condition.

ozarkguy, they are suppost to be great tractors, but do yourself a favor. look hard at the tractor, see what needs replacing. call a deutz parts dealership and price the parts. from what i've seen a brake master cylinder will cost as much as the tractor. (i'm not kidding)

re a Deutz 4507 serial starts with 75 does this mean its a 1975 model; guy selling it says its a
1985 , how hard is it to get parts and expensive sounds like it is normal I am paying $7500 for a package deal but it includes a bush hog and trailer and box blade and a rake wonder how much the tractor is worth alone

4006 doesn't have a brake master cyclinder!! Probably doesn't have very good brakes either, as the 06 series brake lineings were too hard. Robert

sorry for the missunderstanding, i was giving the brake cylinder as an example. i almost purchased a 130-06 4wd for $3800, thats a 126 hp tractor, great price. needed a brake master cylinder that cost $2380 thats not a great price. i'm assuming that all duetz parts are $$$?

I remember when you posted that long ago. I at the time, asked my Deutz dealer, and he confirmed what i had posted then. You just buy rebuild kits for the master cyclinders. All so, as he pointed out, complete units can still be bought used, and there is quite a few parts available from after market sources. Deutz was very good about useing the same parts on several sizes of tractors, so lots of times used parts aren't that hard to find. Robert

I'm looking for a front end loader for a Deutz 4006.

Does anyone know if there is such a thing for this tractor or of people that can manufacture one??

I hear you, parts are indeed outrageous in price. doesnt matter whole lot. I looked at friends Deutz and it is 3006 and not a 4006. 4006 is probably a little big. that 2cyl in the 3006 is quite a marvel and it may only be 30hp but does work of so called 40 hp tractors. Very rare though. I cant even find a 3006 mentioned on internet.

I have a rolled over 3006 and will be parting it out if you know anyone who needs parts. Broke the front end (axel) off the engine. From the engine back all mechanicals are there. Tires,rims fenders are gone now. It has been setting for years but was running when rolled over.

3006 isn't all that rare. I have one, and there are several others around here. They made a 2506 too. The 3006 is a 2 cyclinder version of the 4006. I all so had a 4006, and it is noticeable improvement in the power department. The bad thing about the 40's is, the 3 cyclinder engines weren't balanced very well, and vibrated as much or more that the 2 cyclinder engines in the 3006's. Later they became 4506's and had several improvements. Around here a nice 3006 will go for $4000.00 quite easily. They are a nice tractor and are over built at 30 PTO HP. (last ones had 33) Robert
