I would like to re-gasket the gear box cover, which I found when I removed it, isn't just a cover but has shifting parts on it. The shift lever keeps it from comming out of the case so how do I get the shift lever out and if I pull this thing out of the case will I get a bunch of parts in my lap?
Tom

It will come out with out removing any thing else. You gust have to tip it the right direction. Pay attention to where the gears are located when you take it out and you will be ok.
No loose parts if every think is in good condition. If you find loose parts you will need more than a gasket.
