D14 Leak

I have a 1957 D14 with a bad leak at the seal where the clutch pedal comes through the housing. I plan to completely rebuild the D14 within the next 2 years but is there any way without breaking the tractor in two that I can slow the leak. Again, the leak is where the clutch pedal goes through the casting.

Now I love and know everything about Allis Chalmers, well when I was a kid I worked on the assembly line in West Allis and I know everthing there is to know about Allis Chalmers. Later in life I got moved up in jobs to the mechanics shop and a guy brought in a D14 with the same problem so I know how to fix it

Please do tell. The leak has been driving me crazy. Will I have to split the tractor to fix?
