here is the scenario i have a snap coupler mounted plow on my wd when i start the tractor the plow goes up, full up.. then regardless of the position of the hyd control lever it stays up and even when i turn the tractor off it wont come down. I have to lower the plow by cracking the fitting loose on the valve. then as soon as I start the tractor again its up plow. I have checked the linkages and nothing seems to have slipped. I also tried disassembling the valve and cleaning it up. but it still does the same thing. please help sweet corn doesnt grow well in november here in Iowa

If everything was working ok and the problem suddenly happened either the linkage has shifted or the pump control valve is stuck. If you are sure the linkage is ok - including the draft control linkage - then the control valve is stuck. Try turning the knob on the front of the pump body fully in and operate the hydraulics. Then try turning the knob fully out and cycle the hydraulics again. Let us know and we'll try some more things.

ok my draft control is not there at all. but it has been missing for many years and the arms have been working good. It just seems like the pump is always putting out pressure to me and the valve only has one port. there is no place for the oil to go. I will try the pump body adjustment in full then out full as you reccommend. Ill post a reply when I get done appreciate the help

Had the same problem on my wd, mine doesn't have draft control linkage either. Is the lever on the bottom back of the pump swinging loose or is it locked into the pump housing with the lockout screw? Mine was loose. I pushed the lever forward and turned the lockout screw into the small detent in the pump housing, this disengages the draft control, otherwise the tractor thinks it has an extremely heavy load on the rear and will lift the rams to provide traction.
