Runs fine long as the engine is cold but let it warm up to say 140 it starts missing and wont even pull a brush hog. Keeps dying under even a small load. about to drive me crazyier. Has a rebuilt mag and engine been rebuilt about 100 hours ago, up untill this year been running fine.
Help i,m thinking of cutting it up for scrap.

Could also be a bad coil,or the wrong coil.I changed the CA over to 12 v but didn't change the coil right away and had the exact same problem.

Had this same trouble with my '37 WC. Started & ran fine 'till warmed up. Then it wouldn't pull the hat off your head. If it stalled you'd have to pull it to re-start. Turned out to be a build up of rust on the 1 & 4 exhaust manifold ports causing the intake ports to barely seal when cold. Run it a while & intake would leak badly because of the thermal expansion. I got a new set of manifold gaskets & re-finished the exhaust ports trueing up the manifold ports & it now runs like a top hot or cold winter or summmer. May not be your problem since you've recently been re-built but if the manifolds were just re-installed as they were.... well it's something to check.

since just rebuilt, bet the valve clearance is too tight and when warms up you are holding valves cracked slightly and loosing compression. pop off the valve cover and check the clearance. Should be .010 when warm. Bet you have zero.

check the main jet on carb try adjusting first if not help pull out and check for where guess that is where I would look

I have a '50 C. It starts and runs well but a short time ago I was mowing grass and it lost power. I found two things:
1. My fuel tank had acquired rust,and that in form of fakes that dropped into the orifice feeding my filter bowl. I had restricted fuel flow.
2. In addition to that I had water and who knows what else in the fuel tank that contaminated what fuel was able to get to the carb.
I drained the tank and put new fuel into it and also removed the filter bowl and cleared the rust flakes. So far so good. Keep an eye on your filter bowl for water and rust.
