Recently became the owner of a '37 WC but not a book. It OBVIOUSLY has the wrong rear tires on it. It currently has some very old 9 X 24's on it. Looks plumb silly! Was wondering if it ought to have 13.6, 14.9 or 15.5's on it. The guy that last owned it insisted it was 'sposed to have 15.5's on it but that seems a bit wide to me. I'm GUESSING 14.9's but I figured you guys would know for sure.

After new manifold gaskets, a good thorough cleaning of the carburetor and some serious work on the old Fairbanks RV4B mag, it runs right nicely but looks goofy with those little bitty rear sneakers.

Thanks!

The factory size was 11x24. The current accepted tire size is 14.9x24. I personally think that 13.6's are closer to right, but they are more expensive, so must guys (including me) go with 14.9's. They look big, but they fit pretty well. One note, go with a long bar/long bar. If you get a long/short, it'll ride terrible. Long/shorts tend to "wiggle" at low speeds and since low speeds are all WC's have, it'd be one rough ride. I have new long/long 14.9's on mine and she rides like a caddy.

I thank you sir. It has long bar/short bar tires on it now. Being new to the WC I thought maybe this was just the nature of the beast with his small diameter rears. Sort of rumbles his way down the road.

Thanks again.
