I've recently became an owner of an old a-c tractor. It supposedly has a lot of new parts but the magneto was lost. I found some numbers but none on the block. the numbers on the rearend appear to be am273219 2,the frame 12-20,the trans cover b65665.I think it was built in the 40's. Its supposed to be a gas motor and all it needs to run was a magneto. The best guess I can come up with is that it used a fairbanks morse type fm magneto.If anybody has some info on this oldie but goodie please drop me a line. thanks. Mark Dietrich. [email protected]

the number on the transmission case, B65665 should be stamped into the boss next to the shift lever?? If so you have a 1944 model "B". This is a little tractor, about 2000 pounds and 20 horsepower. It should have a small 4 cylinder gas motor with a mag on the front right side of motor. Probably has a generator on the front left and a starter on the right rear. Probably has a bench type seat, may have single way hydraulics on the back (note one hose) Rear tire size is 24 inch rims and maybe tire width about 11 inches. loke at casting numbers on the engine and you shoud see "CE". The tractor has no frame. The engine, torque tube and transmission form the backbone of the tractor. Does this sound like yours???
