Starter will not engauge in flywheel properly makes a grinding noise then every once in a while it will engauge and start engine. Have removed flywheel and turned it over to good teeth. Have rebuilt starter and replaced bendex. Any ideas???

Jim,
Did the same thing with my B. Finally replaced the ring gear on the flywheel. I believe the teeth are beveled on the starter side. That's why turning it over won't help.
