I have an Allis-Chalmers Model M Ser # WM 7967.
Is this approx 1939 or 40? Also need replacement carb, or rebuild kit. Did this models run on kerosene instead of gasoline? Manual says carb # U2212 which I have, is a kerosene Carburetor.

Dave,
Norm Swinford's book shows your S/N as a 1938 model. Per his book, it should have the 318 cu. in. 4 cylinder engine that runs on either gasoline or distillate (which usually was kerosene). It should make slightly more than 35 hp at the belt on either fuel, and about 30 hp on the drawbar.
The M was built from '32 through '42. The engine has a bore and stroke of 4.5" and 5" respectively.
The standard gauge is 40" and the wide gauge is 50".
Unfortunately, I can't help you with a replacement carb.

Phil
