My father operated one in WWII in the South Pacific hauling anti-aircraft guns. AC made them from 1942 until 1960. Full tracked; rated to pull 18,000 to 30,000 lbs; Waukesha 6 cylinder, 210 HP engine; top speed 35 MPH. The big brother to the M4 was the M6 which could pull up to 60,000 lbs and had two Waukesha engines. I saw some of these in the late 1960's used by a contractor working on power transmission line construction in rough terrain.
