Wd-45 hydrolics

i want to put an outlet on the back to raise a oneway cylinder, right now it has two cylinders for the lift arms, it has 3 holes for hydrolic two are used up for the arms, how would i do it so the arms don't lift up everytime, any suggestions would be a big help, thanks

Todd, Since a Wd 45 does not have down pressure on the hydraulics. You could lift the arms all of the way up and then wire or chain them in that position. This way they will have no effect on your auxillary outlet. Very simple and it works.

If you tie up the rear lift arms, the cylinders stay full of oil. If you then fill up the reservoir, be very careful if you lower the arms later. There is a vent for the reservoir under the plate under the starter. This vent will squirt any over filled oil directly onto the foot clutch!!!!! !!!!! !!!! I have plugged this vent with a pipe plug.Then I drilled a hole and welded a pipe coupler in the plate under the starter at an angle to miss the starter and installed a cylinder vent. The result is a dry clutch as oil fumes and any overfill are vented to the outside. Duey

Tod, On my WD45 & WD I installed a high pressure valve on the lift arm hose port and teed the hoses together. I did the same to the port for the rear outlet. That way the lift arms can be shut off when they are not needed. Or the rear outlet, I use for hooking to the front end loader, can be shut off with the loader up when I want to use the lift arms. Remember the delay action controls the front port that one of the lift cylinders is hooked to, for lifting the rear gang on a two row cultivater. Duey

todd the only way to keep the lift arms from raising up when the hydrulic pump is actavated is to disconnt the lines and cap them off or secure the arms in the up postion i assume that the rear hydrulic coupling is already on the tractor if not you need to connect a line to the 3rd port on the pump and run it to the rear of the tractor
