How many bottoms can I pull with the D17 series IV. I just got it and apparently it has the combine rebuild kit in it that gives it more hp. What do you think?

Bryon, The 14" or 16" refers to the width. Some AC plows were adjustable so you could just change the lays and adjust the beams to either width! Duey

Properly set and tractor properly weighted it should pull 4/16s semi-mounted. Thats what I pulled with my WD45 in second gear.

4-14 in average conditions, 3-16 anywhere except the driveway.

Thanks Butch. I'm in OH too near Columbus.

I don't have much land so will probably go with the three bottome 16". Can you dig deeper with the 16" bottoms than with 14" bottoms or is it just width.

I grew up in the country and have been around tractors most of my life but it's amazing how much I don't know.

I go 8" deep with my 3-14" snapcoupler. . .it pulls okay as long as it is set up level. I usually pull in 3rd gear, low.
