Help Please!
I pulled my '38 AC B around to the front field yesterday, ran great.I shut the engine off and pittled around fixing little stuff on the mower. I tried to crank it(magneto) an hour later and the crank won't turn, I mean froze. I checked the oil and gas for water..none, oil good-gas good. My neighbor says it might be vapor locked and all I have to do is remove the plugs to let the pressure out. I wanted to check with y'all who know these tractors better than me before I proceeded. Have any of you encountered this, what sould I do next to make sure the engine is ok. The engine was rebuilt a year or so ago by the previous owner. Thanks

Dan, Vapor lock refers to the fuel system which can lock up (engine gets no fuel) due to excessive heat near the carb. Pressure builds in carb and won't allow gravity flow fuel to enter the carb. With the ign. switch off, shift the transmision into high gear and rock the rear tires back and forth. This should get the engine to turn a little either way. If it doesn't you may have bigger problems. Duey
