Bought an Allis WF a couple of months ago--missing it's carb. Went to an antique car swap meet 100 miles away last weekend and ran across a vendor with a table of various carbs. I noticed a Zenith with traces of orange paint and told the guy that I was interested in his tractor carb. He wanted 10 bucks so I bought it with the studs, nuts and linkage that was attached. When I got home I bolted it onto the WF and all the links popped right into the levers and even the paint chips lined up! It was the same carb that was stolen off the tractor some time before I bought it! I should have probably bought a lottery ticket that day!

I just bought a WD-45. Not running flat rear tire. Tried airing up no air would go in. Tried getting ot core out and all rusted up inside. Took off the part core goes into that treads on to the tube that is in the tire. Did this with just a pair of pliers. Most time rusted so bad never comes apart and this look like it was going to be the case. Cleaned out with a pice of baler wire put back on with a new core aired right up and still holding air. That was only yesterday, but looking good so far.

When I got my WF it was far out in a pasture with both rear tires flat. Too far to make a lot of trips with a portable air tank. I took the bottle of CO2 welding gas with regulator off of my Mig welder and made up an adapter for an air chuck on the end of the gas hose. Took the whole apparatus out to the field with a front end loader; set the regulator to 12 pounds and filled up the tires. Co2 is still in them. CAUTION! do not use a bottle of welding oxygen for this as you stand a good chance of having a violent explosion!(I have been a welder and welding instructor for 35 years.)
