WD running rough

I know this has been covered, and I apologize the repetion. And I did go thru the archives, but don't have that much time trying to find it. I was doing loader work with my Wd all day yesterday, and when the tractor was in gear it sputtered. It would idle at full throttle and not miss a beat. Put it in gear and it would would sound like it was not getting gas or something. The glass bowl was clear. The filter was clean. The oil was changed a few weeks ago. I went thru and checked everything before I started it to make sure I would have no problems. I greased all my fittings. The oil bath was new. There is no visible rust in the tank. It ran strong the whole day, and never died or never
backed down to anything I asked it to do, it just sounded not right when in gear. I am new to tractors, and I do not know if this is normal or not. Oh, this is not a new problem.

My WD was doing that, it was a bad condenser in the mag.

My WD was running rough these last few weeks. Kept adjusting carb and that did not seem to help. Noticed also that my Buick has not been starting right either. Have been buying gasoline at same place for both car and tractor. Changed gasoline supply in both. Both are running much better now. Also put a can of "dry" gas in tank and see what happens. If you have your own gas tank, water build up is much greater too. Just an idea to try.

Try replacing the points and capacitor.
