Conversion CA from 6 volt to 12 volt system

Hi I require advice regarding using a CA on a field sprayer which has a compressor for a foam marker which is 12. Is it run a line from the 6 volt system ie by from the battery to a coil and step the voltage up to 12 volt which would then power the 12 volt compessor for the foam marker

Hi Morley, You can't step up the voltage with dc current which is what you tractor will be. Transformers only work on ac.

it might be easier to just take the battery out of your truck and set it on the sprayer when needed. charge it up when you get back. Unless your tractor generator is bad and you want to convert over the entire tractor system to 12 volt.
