WD-45 Problems

I am thinking of buying a WD-45, however it has a rattling noise when you raise the 3pt hitch, and a bit of noise in the transmission clutch. Also the transmission clutch doesn't disengage sometimes. It seems a bit ominious to me but it is otherwise restored to like new and has power steering 12V etc. Anyone have any suggestions, is this hard to fix and are parts hard to find?

I don't know about the hydraulic noise, if it works, it works though. As far as the clutch, does it seem to be when the oil is cold that it doisn't disengage? It is a multi disc clutch thta runs in the transmission oil and if the oil is thick and cold it will make the discs stick to each other and not release. The way to get it into gear is to use the foot clutch to stop all the gears from turning, once it is in gear you can use the hand clutch, (transmission clutch). After the oil warms up it will act normal if this is the problem. When I was a kid in the late 60s the local AC dealer told us that if the clutch was slipping when the oil was cold or in the winter to use 20 weight non detergent oil in the transmission and this would help the problem. That 45 had 20 weight in it for the 15 or so years I knew it and there was no problems. However when the oil was cold it was still necessary to use the foot clutch to get it into gear without grinding. 45s are great tractors, I would get it. A rebuilt hydraulic pump can be had for less than $300 and it is the whole hydraulic system, changing the hand clutch is a little more difficult, split the tractor to get it out, but still not that difficult. Get manuals from Kings, reprints of originals, and it will seem easier to deal with and understand. If you want Kings address let me know. Get it is my opinion unless the price is way high.
