Power Steering Fluid Level

I just finished the reassembly of the WFE on my 62 gas D17. During the tear down I lost Power steering fluid and now I need to replace it. The book shows the fill plug behind the distributor, but it wouldn't except the addition prior to starting the tractor. I know it needs oil because there is hesitation in the steering since starting the tractor. What am I missing, is there another fill point? I appreciate any advice you experts may give.

Hi Don, the oil reservoir is the front support. It is filled at the breather in front of the radiator. Use ATF enough to cover the flat gear seen thru the breather cap hole by 1/4". Bill
