My hydraulic lift broke a line and leaked a substantial amount of fluid. I am new into the tractor stuff and do not know where to check or even to fill the fluid to level. I have purchased a manual but it is very vague on a lot of stuff and does not explain anything about my Allis Chalmers CA. could you please advise me?

Get reprints of original AC manuals from Kings Books. If you can't find them e-mail me, or ask on this list.

i believe your tractor uses the same oil in the transmission, pto and hydraulic fluid. buy a good hydraulic-transmission fluid at local farm store and fill thru the plug on side of transmission as mentioned. when draining, there are three plugs underneith to drain to get everything out.

There is a twist off cap with a dip stick on the left front of the tranny. Check with rams extended.
