I have compiled a list of some of the running production changes made on the WDs & WD-45s. I believe it to be accurate, but it is probably not complete. There are other differences that were made at the point of introction of the WD-45; eg: Larger carburetor & Air Cleaner. >000007: WD begins production-->289001: Introduction of the "tall" head-->127007: New "helical" gear trans. (curved shifter)-->136318: Switch from Magneto to distributer-->146607: WD-45 replaces the WD-->151381: "Snap-Coupler" system becomes standard equip.-->165056: Plates in hand clutch increased from 2 to 3-->186413: WFE support plate changed from 3 to 4 bolts. If anyone has info on other significant production changes, I would be glad to hear about them as well.

45s don't have the steel cover plate on the right side of the block, it is a solid casting. I could find other changes too by reading my parts manual, there is quite a few others, small but there none the less.
