I just missed getting my hands on an unstyled Allis RC, UC, Or WC. I am not sure which of these models because the tag is in bad shape. Anyway I got this "Oh Crap" feeling when the guy who owns it told me he would take $50.00 for it but has someone else who is interested. There is still a very small chance that I will get it but things are not looking good. This is my first miss on a possilbly valuable tractor. What are some of your stories?

When I was in college about 30 years ago, I was home on vacation and went to church with the folks- there was a little old lady there with a gorgeous '49 Ford coupe- Black paint that you could comb your hair by. I thought of asking if she wanted to sell it, but thought she was probably tired of kids asking her. Found out later she sold it to some idiot in high school that same week for $150 (!)- he wrapped it around a tree a month or so later. . .

I talked to this old farmer about his Wc, he had quit farming and the thing was just setting in the weather. He couldn't make up his mind wether to sell or not, this went on for about a year and a half. I found another WC one day (paid too much for it) and within the week the farmer called and said he was ready to sell and was throwing in another Wc for parts. I went from no tractors to three tractors in a week . Bottom line --- Don't give up! Good Luck Dee

Remember that Lucy VanPelt told Charlie Brown "Well, Charlie Brown, you win some and you lose some". Charlie Brown said" That would be wonderful". I can identify with Charlie Brown on tractor purchases.
