G'day from Australia, an AC fan here.
Does anyone have a photo and/or diagram of the linkage that is on the back on the allis chalmers model b. I recently purchased a model b in going order, with hydrualics and linkage at the rear, but I am not sure if it is AC. I know what 3pl looks like, if anyone can help, I would be extremmly graitful.

thanks

I'm in the same position. The farmer I bought my B from called to let me know that he'd found "the plow and some other attachments" in his barn. I've got a pickup load of pieces and parts that I'd like to put to use, but I have no idea how they go together - the plow, the lift linkage, the hydraulic cylinder.... Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Jeff

If Your Tractor Has A Drawbar, It has to be removed. Then each piece of equipment cultivaters,Plow,Mowing machine or whatever bolt on where drawbar was bolted at bottom. Then hook the two lifting arms on the top. Use the drawbar pins and bolts to attach each implement.

"linkage", are you talking about the hydraulic lift arms? The Allis tractors on this era never had 3 point hitch. They had a "snap coupler" which is actually two lift arms, similar to a three point hitch, but the "third point" is not on the top, it is a long arm going under the tractor transmission to a coupler underneith. This is the main "pulling point" of the implement. If you have a three point hitch like a ford, it is aftermarket, or home made. Some guys have added a third point behind the seat and modified the lift arms to act like a "three point". Give more details about what you need and someone will supply a picture.

I have the same problem with my 1939 B. I have never seen a photo of the back of a tractor. I think my linkage is home made too. Tom
