Just got a "B" last week. Setting outside and engine full of water. Drained, refilled, one valve stuck and workded it loose. Craked and it started. My question is, it has a magneto and the carburetor linkage pivots on the top of the mag. There is a oil lubed pin that the lever pivots on. My pin is very loose in the housing and i thought it was broke inside. Its tied down with bailing wire. Pulled it out and it appears maybe it just presses into the housing?? Can i just make a bigger pin and stick in the hole? The lube is for something inside the mag? I dont want to remove mag right now if not needed. Trying to get it running and test for a couple hours before ripping into major overhauls. I ordered a service manual, but will not be here for a week or so. thanks.

Clean the hole out with finger polish remover or something like it useing Qtips. Apply Loctite to the clean pin and it should stay in place untill you can get into it deeper.
