Have aquired a rotobaler. It was in shed and looks all complete. Was wondering what value would be. This one has the orange top. I have been told later versions had white tops. I would like to use it this summer at a threshing show. Has anyone out their used one of these. The spring on the brake looks like the only item missing so far. Where do you get string etc. I will see if I can find a manual for it. Still string in the machine so I can probably match it hopefully. Is the number stamped on back top right corner the serial number? All info I can get will be very appreciated.

Value of the rotobaler runs from 0 to $500 depending on the condition mostly. I just bought the one my uncle had for $250. It hadn't run in a few years but has been in the shed. Dad just sold one for $300 that had fewer than 10,000 bales through it in it's entire like and had been in a shed all of it's life. He also had two parts balers that were given up for parts. John

In regards to the twine type to use in your rotobaler: use binder twine. It is the only twine with a small emough diameter (and in small enough balls to fit the can) to work in the system. I have the Rotobaler that my grandfather bought and used. it was also used by an uncle and also by my dad. I can remember my dad baling with it when I was still pretty small. I learned to drive tractor by driving for picking up the bales. I hope to get it going again this summer. Good Luck with yours
