I have an opportunity to purchase a late 1957 WD-45. It has factory power steering, tires front and rear 85%, sheet metal perfect, 3 point hitch, original bullet tail light, overall apperance is very good. Some leaking evidence on one of the rams. Has been sitting for app. one year. Water was drained when parked. Negative = owner says it fouls out no. 1 plug often. Owner suggested that he thought it had a broken ring or damaged piston on no.1 cyl. Also noted that the front wheels have quite a bit of wobble. Have not heard tractor run. Owner is asking 850.00. I intend to make an offer of 650.00. Would you guys give me some input on my offer. Thanks in advance.

Be careful, you could be arrested for stealing it for that price. The worst that could happen it seems is that you would need to put a new liner and piston in that cylinder. Maybe just rings. Maybe it has a bad plug wire, plug, or distributor cap or something like that. Buy it quick even if you can't get it for less than asking price. don't worry about wheels wobbleing. Buy it!!

From what I've heard the power steering is worth the asking price.I'd grab it up fast. CT

Junk WD-45 should bring $500. Depending on sheet metal and its completeness in terms of parts, he is in reasonable price range.

If it's as good as you say, even with the #1 fouling, you could almost add a 1 to the front of the number he is asking. At least you could if it's anywhere in Iowa.
