i just bought a ac and i think it is a b the number behind the gear shift is 066584 it has a narrow front end and hyd. any help that anyone can give me would be nice

Here is a good pic of a C. .notice the steering linkage on the front of the tractor and connects to a vertical steering arm. .it point up, unlike on the B which the rear linkage is pointing down and goes straight to the front axle pitman

Also see the rear wheels, dish unlike 99% of B which have flat wheels. .I think this C has the wrong seat, it should be a bench seat, like the B

Fine looking tractor's.

Your 'C" may have the correct seat. Pan seats were an option on the 'C'.

B dont come with a narrow front end because they are 1 bottom plow tractors. You probably have a 1948 "C". Most of them had narrow fronts for 2 bottom plow pulling. The "0" before the 66 is probably a "C".

Click on Allis-Chalmers at the top of this site. When AC opens, check out the selections on "The Little AC's. Also there is a selection on serial numbers there. You can identify your own that way.
