I have an early model Allis Chalmers B (SN 14**) with a WICO magneto. From what I gather, this is from a John Deere and AC's used Fairbanks Morse magnetoes. I like FB better but the WICO will function.

Did AC ever run with WICO mags from the factory? Is there any problem with keeping the WICO? I assume they're pretty good but parts are more expensive.

the wico is not from a john deere, they got a 2 cylinder magneto, your allis is a 4 cylinder. It could be a IH or any other 4 cylinder. FM parts are costly also.

Tyler,
According to everything I have for reference, only FM and FMJ type Fairbanks-Morse Magnetos were used.
