Final drive lube for C

My son and I are working on our C. We just got done replacing the trans/pto lube with hydraulic fluid. The old stuff was funky and looked like it had been in there since the tractor was new. Next we are moving on to the final drives. What's the best lube to use in these???? Thanks for the help, we are have fun doing all this and you guys have made it easier!

Use 80/90 weight gear oil. Use this in any gearbox generally unless there is some reason not too, such as it also functions as hydraulic oil. Or in the case of say WDs and WD45s the hand clutch slips when it is adjusted properly. In this case use a thinner oil such as 20 non detergent.
