If I let the calcium out of the tires on my "B" and air them back up will the tractor be hard to drive? How about getting it onto a trailer?
I do have wheel weights. The calcium is rusting out the valve stem and leaking so I would like to do this until I can re-do the whole wheel and buy new tires. I am not planning on using any implements.

If you want to load your tires collect all the used antifreeze you can from your friends and put that in the tires. It won't rust, doesn't hurt rubber, and won't freeze. It does't weigh as much an the calcium but I can tell from experience with a C that It will be a noticeable addition to traction.

You probably don't need the cal. in your tires. To make sure your rims aren't rusted inside the tires, you really need to take the tires off them and check. I'd at least want to wash them good with dish soap and water. Then you can de-rust and paint any affected area's. Robert

No it will not be hard to drive, it will just weigh less.

I suggest for the life of your rims that you have a shop come pump out the fluid. .the CA will rust ANY metal (including cars) that it touches and I don't think it is good for the ground water either.

Spray down the tires after he is gone just to be safe. I have a 5 yr old rim that is getting eaten up, so I know how you feel. .I am going to work on it this summer.

If you don't need the added traction, DON'T use the CaCl. I have both rears on my MF-2135 filled and it helps a lot with my big loader. I still added a 3-pt counter weight to top things off but if I didn't need the loader, I wouldn't have the CaCl. If you're not using implements on your 'B' and you don't have a traction problem... don't put the ballast back in.

Your tractor should load fine and be lighter to haul for it.
