D14 Hydraulic Pump Rebuild

To all of the knowledgeable farm mechanics out there. I need to rebuild the hydraulic pump on my D14. I have the Arco manual and the IT manual. Both of these have good directions for someone that has undertaken this procedure before but for a novice it could use some explaining. I need to know if this is simply a cleaning procedure or a remove and replace procedure. I can rebuild motors and transmissions on cars and trucks so this should not be to difficult if I can get the information. Both manuals state to remove the seats by tapping and pulling. Does this ruin the seat or is this just the method for removal for replacement? What about the seals on the plungers? Can they be purchased for replacement? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Joe, tapping and pulling the seat is only used if the seat itself can't be salvaged and must be replaced. Most of the time the check ball can be reseated into the seat by a "sharp blow" with a one pound hammer and a soft punch (at least that's what my service manual says for the WD45 hydraulic pump and I think someone here said its the same pump as yours). Most of the rubber o-rings can be matched at any decent hydraulic shop (I assume that's what you meant by seals on the plungers).
